You don’t always have to tell your side of the story. Time will.

Armed with a Master’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from César Ritz University, Switzerland, Rajat built a career that took him across countries, cultures, and industries. From beginning his professional journey with American Express to working with some of the world’s leading hospitality brands in India and Singapore, he experienced success in its many forms.

Alongside corporate life, he ventured into entrepreneurship, running a travel agency and a resto-bar, discovering that ambition and uncertainty often travel together.

An avid sportsman who trained professionally in cricket, tennis, football, and swimming, he learned early that the most important victories are rarely won on the field.

The one with the brightest smile and the loudest laugh has the most painful past.

The world came to a standstill in 2020, but for Rajat, the real storm unfolded behind closed doors. While the pandemic forced millions into isolation, it also stripped away the distractions that had long kept difficult truths at bay. Relationships collapsed under the weight of infidelity. Trust gave way to betrayal. Friendships dissolved. A marriage ended. And in the silence that followed, questions emerged that could no longer be ignored.

For years, Rajat had carried stories within him—stories of love and heartbreak, success and failure, loyalty and backstabbing, triumph and regret. The lockdown offered something modern life rarely allows: time. Time to revisit old wounds, to understand the consequences of choices made in anger, desire, and fear, and to examine whether life is shaped merely by chance or by something far deeper. Again and again, one idea returned to him: whatever we give to life, life eventually gives back.

Karma’s Echo: The Circle of Life was born from that period of introspection. While deeply inspired by lived experience, the novel transcends autobiography to explore universal questions about karma, higher consciousness, and the purpose of our struggles. It is an attempt to understand how people lose themselves, how they rebuild after devastation, and how pain can become the catalyst for awakening.

At its heart, the book is about resilience—the stubborn refusal to surrender when everything appears lost. It is about redemption after mistakes, healing after betrayal, and the courage to start over. Above all, it is a reminder that even our darkest chapters may contain the lessons we were meant to learn, and that sometimes the greatest act of strength is simply choosing to keep going.

Because life keeps score. Karma never forgets. And every ending carries within it the possibility of a new beginning.
