I’m Rajat Sharma—the Accidental Penman.

I never set out to become a writer. Somewhere along the way, however, life began leaving behind stories I couldn’t ignore. Stories about choices and consequences, about people we love and people we lose, about the mistakes we make, the guilt we carry, and the quiet hope that perhaps we can still begin again.

I write about karma, guilt, love, betrayal, redemption, and starting over—not because these are extraordinary experiences, but because they are deeply human ones. They are the things most of us carry quietly, the questions we wrestle with in the middle of the night, and the emotions we often struggle to put into words.

My stories live in that space between what we do and what we wish we had done differently. They explore how our choices come back to us, how relationships shape us, how loss changes us, and how sometimes the hardest journey is finding our way back to ourselves.

I believe everyone has a story they don’t tell out loud. Perhaps my job as a writer is simply to give some of those stories a voice.

So, I write—not because I have all the answers, but because I’m fascinated by the questions.

And perhaps, in writing about imperfect people trying to make sense of their lives, I’m also trying to make sense of my own.

That is the story of the Accidental Penman.
